David Tennant in Hamlet

I've now been to see David Tennant in Hamlet five times and I've got to say that the production is just brilliant! Far better and more entertaining that then one I saw in Bristol earlier this year.

After having the tickets for almost a year now, I can't believe that the first performance of David Tennant in Hamlet is tomorrow!

Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf

With David Tennant starting to appear in Hamlet soon (rehearsals started a few weeks ago) I thought it was time to start updating this again.

Tonight we went to see Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf in Ipswich which was great and I'd really recommend! I've seen it once before a few months ago but it's definitely worth a second watch.

David Tennant's voice is featured in it a few times too (in his Doctor's accent - he'd recorded it specially for this play) and at one part Toby said that he was so glad that he hadn't regenerated at the end of the last series.

I funny part happened when there was some whistling in the building. Toby thought it was the microphone so he ad-libbed that he'd reverse the polarity to get it to stop!

BAFTA / Jonathon Ross / Colin Murray

A day of highs and lows today!

Unfortunately (but not surprisingly considering the organisation) David Tennant wasn't nominated for a BAFTA this year. As this is the year that includes his performances both in Recovery and as John Smith, it's a real shame.

The Doctor Who Series Four promotion is really hotting up! The BBC have changed their website to read that the trailer will air on 22nd March instead of 29th March so that makes a 5th April launch date even more likely.

Today it has also been announced that David Tennant and Catherine Tate will be on The Jonathon Ross Show on 4th April (expected to film Thursday 3rd) plus DT will be on the Colin Murray show on Radio One on Monday 14th April!

Great news came via the telephone for me today as we've got tickets for the recording of The Friday Night Project next week!

Doctor Who Series 4 Promotion

"It's started" to quote The Doctor in Evolution Of The Daleks! The promotion for Series 4!

We still don't know the start date for sure but it's likely to be either Saturday 5th or 12th April (more likely the 5th). If it is going to be the 5th then we'll hear this week.

The first bit of promotion is David Tennant being the guest host on The Friday Night Project on Friday 28th March (filming takes place on Thursday 27th). At least we think he is as it was listed on a website and now loads of fans have picked up on it and applied for tickets! It's listed on D-T.com but they don't seem to receive official information any more from DT's management so there could be a load of DT fans turning up for the filming of Victoria Wood or Heather Mills or someone!

On Tuesday (18th) the announcement is being made for the finalists of the BAFTAs! We know that the BBC nominated David Tennant so I hope he makes the shortlist!

On Wednesday it's the Royal Television Society Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel. David has been nominated for the Best Actor award for both Doctor Who and Recovery so fingers crossed!

Doctor Who Filming

The set reports thread on Outpost Gallifrey (or rather DoctorWhoForum as it's now called) was very busy the last few days as there was a night of filming! Other than the series looking really exciting, we really don't have a clue about what is really going on which makes it even more exciting!

David Tennant was spotted filming and the great Scooty took a photo of him with Billie Piper (Rose) which The Sun newspaper promptly stole!

It was interesting that David Tennant was spotted filming with his camcorder for the series 4 boxset!

Doctor Who Trailer hits the big screen

A trailer for Series Four of Doctor Who (starring David Tennant) is being played during the film Cloverfield at cinemas around the country from this week.
